Successful Cycle Speedway Opener at Findon

South Australian club Findon staged their first fixture of the 2012 season with in excess of 40 riders competing in age category individual racing.

Bobby McMillan again proved his undoubted ability and will without doubt figure highly when the Australian CSC select their senior squad for the 2013 World Cycle Speedway Championship.

In the junior ranks frequent UK visitor Shane Bentley made his mark with an unfaulted afternoon of racing. However two other junior riders to catch the eye were Trent Forester and Angus Freeman. If they continue their rate of progress the outcome of the junior competitions in November 2013 could be more than interesting.

MCMILLAN SIGNS

“I have strong ties with the Leicester management and Carl Jarvis is a mate of mine” said McMillan. “With that in mind it’s only natural that I should want to race in the Monarchs colours when I’m in the UK.”

Tim Jarvis commented “I’ve watched Bobby for the last four years and I’m a big fan. He’s got a great attitude, is easy to get on with and his riding has improved every season. There’s no doubt that he can be a top rider in the Elite League” added Jarvis.
