The Racing Kangaroos Cycling Development Team heads to Toowoomba this week ready to show the opposition a thing or two as riders tough it out on the Darling Downs in the 2012 Tour of Toowoomba.
The Racing Kangaroos is a project that was put together to assist young cyclists making the transition from Junior to Elite ranks, and on this occasion the team will be represented by Craig Evers, Brodie Talbot, Ben Fox, Jack McCulloch and Kevin Hawes.
Spirits are high as riders prepare for the Toowoomba experience, and for most of these guys, it will be the first time they have competed in a multi stage Tour.
“Form is good coming into this event” Kurt Polock told CSN.
“We’ve had some very positive results from races earlier in the year, and we’ve definitely got guys who are capable of taking stage wins, and putting themselves in contention for a top five finish in the GC”.
“The Racing Kangaroos is a well balanced team that will prove to be a threat in all stages, especially when the going gets a little tough.
“I think the standard of cycling has improved greatly over the last few years, so everyone who sits their bum on a seat at this level has to be regarded as threat” Kurt Polock concluded.
