As October approaches we move closer to yet another season of track racing at Dunc Gray Velodrome. The calendar moving into 2012 is almost finalised, however there are are numerous confirmed events leading into the new year.
The Sydney International Sprint GP is the opening event of the season, and what a way to start. Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia’s best sprinters will be arriving at the Dunc Gray Velodrome on October 8th and 9th to start their preparation going into an extremely important year. Tickets for this event can be purchased by calling Cycling NSW on 9738 5850 or at the door. Ticket prices are as follows:
Family Admission (Daily):
$40 (2 x adult, 2 x children)

Leading into this event, DGV is hosting the first round of the National Junior Track Series on Friday October 7th. This is a new initiative from Cycling Australia aimed at increasing the racing opportunities for U15 & 17 riders. A 5 round national series will start next week and conclude in January in Adelaide. Looking into late October and further ahead to November there are a number of events which will be hotly contested. This includes:
Oct 29th - Coffs Harbour Track Open (Coffs Harbour Velodrome)
Nov 4th - NSW Individual Time Trial Championships
Nov 5th - CycleCover Sydney Cup on Wheels & NSW Scratch Race Championships
Sun 13th - NSW Elite, U19 & Para-Cycling Individual Pursuit Championships
