Palmer Bails Up Opposition in Haycarters Print E-mail

Active ImageThe Coota Haycarters cycling weekend has continued to grow with almost 300 starters lining up at the weekend for the 70km Haycarters Handicap in western NSW.

The 2009 event saw the Scratch bunch ride through the field to fight out the major placings.

Drapac Porsche Cycling team took the top 2 placings with Canberra’s former world Junior Champ Tom Palmer scoring a great win and fastest time from Drapac Porsche team mate Dean Windsor.

Australia Junior champ  Michael Phelan took third place in front of Aussie track Champ, Richard Lang, and Team Budget Forklift rider, Blair Windsor.

The weekend’s action continued earlier today with the traditional Recovery Race.
