Brisbane Australia – former Australian Time Trial champion, Darren Rolfe is looking to the stage 1 Time Trial to get the battle of the Border tour to a flying start.
"A 12 km time trial on a tough course first up should provide a solid platform for me as TT's are my specialty", said Darren.
Darren went on to say "It is great to have a multi stage race with a time trial as part of the Tour as it is a traditional formula that works, it caters for all riders and allows differing strengths to shine through out the tour".
Fly V australia are relishing the opportunity to race the inaugural Battle of the Borders tour on what is a challenging course that should produce some exciting stages.
Team Director, Chris White said, "the stages are short enough to ensure the racing is animated and exciting. We are fielding a strong team that will support Darren in his quest for the yellow tunic".
White went on to say, "the majority of the Team is currently racing in the USA but Steven George is returning directly from racing in Tulsa, Oklahoma to be part of the Team for the battle of the Borders".
